3x Cup Finals
Over the Melbourne Cup weekend, 3 of our young gun Eagles went to the 3x Cup Finals in Melbourne after advancing through all qualifying stages.
Tavvi Johnston, Nixon Killoran & Tahlan Bedggood were entered in the Under 11 boys competition and despite all 3 being bottom age, they more than held their own with 2 wins and 2 losses on day 1, followed by 1 win and 1 loss on day 2.
This put them into the quarter-finals against a strong McKinnon side. The boys battled away, but weren't able to come up with the win - noting that McKinnon went on to make the Grand Final.
The 3x Cup was open to teams from all around Australia, with mainly Victorian teams entered, meaning the boys finished as the 6th ranked side in the Country for 3x3 in 2024.
