As we approach the Spring 2024 Finals series, we want to provide some important updates and reminders from Diamond Valley.
Similar to last year in the first week of finals, one referee or official will be present at each score bench to assist scorers, including the shot clock where required. For Prelims & Grand Finals, Diamond Valley will provide two referees to score as usual.
Like last year, Diamond Valley are also implementing Finals Behavioural Penalties, which includes:
🔴 Anyone approaching the score bench who is not a coach, assistant coach, or team manager will receive an automatic two-week ban from games.
🔴 All penalties for poor behaviour will be doubled during finals. Abuse towards scorers or referees will not be tolerated. Unacceptable behaviour by players, coaches, spectators, or anyone else will result in immediate and harsher disciplinary action.
Please ensure you make yourself and others attending games aware of these rules — Diamond Valley have explicitly stated that ignorance of the rules is not an excuse.
