Our under 16s development program offers players the chance to development in both their technical and tactical awareness.

WHA will deliver weekly U18 Development trainings in Term 1, 2024. These trainings are aimed for players of all abilities. Participants will be training in small groups working on individual skill development. Trainings will have an emphasis on basic skill, advanced techniques, generic principles of play and decision making.

Trials for the Waikato U18 Boys and Girls teams that will play at the National tournaments held over the July school holidays. July 6th-July 13th Boys will play their tournament in Hawkes Bay. Girls will play in Christchurch

Register your interest for a Waikato team for the National Masters Hockey Tournament for 2025 in Whangarei/Kaikohe, 23rd February-1st March. LATE REGISTRATIONS will only be accepted with approval from Waikato Hockey. First Muster is Sunday 13th October, 3pm – 5pm at GHC. Bring along your gear for a run around. Age groups may be combined if insufficient numbers to form a team in a particular division. Likewise if there are too many players, trials may be required.
